We will be spending four full days in the forest leaning hand-on plant identification and harvest, plus three full days in class and workshops processing the plant material collected during our outings. Students will learn the basics of making tinctures, herbal and tree sap salves, healing vinegar, medicinal soaps, and herbal teas. You will take your finished projects home with you. Each student will receive a copy of Medicinal Plants of the Northwest, 130 Monographs, plus a CD reviewing what was taught during the week-long intensive not covered in the book.
